Lift your Literacy and Numeracy levels with a focus on gaining employment or entering further study.
- 100 hours over ten weeks.
- Includes digital learning , life skills and Road Code study.
- Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 9:30 till 2:30
- Small group learning.
Getting past that difficult road code theory test and opening a pathway to gaining a Learner’s licence can often be hard if literacy skills are an issue. This programme uses embedded literacy, computer tests and discussion to prepare for road code questions .
The group class is held on Tuesdays during school term time from 9:30-11am.
There is also the possibility of one to one tutoring for the Road code.
Literacy through the medium of crafts. Each week members of the class create a new project which they often give away as gifts or use to decorate their homes.
Our excellent tutor guides all learners as they develop craft skills, learn new vocabulary and work together as a group.
At the end of the session students write up what they have done and participate in craft related literacy activities.
Class is held each Thursday during term time from 9:30am to 12:30pm.
Many people apply for police training but need to upgrade their literacy skills to meet the required standards.
Each week a group meet to improve their reading, writing and numeracy skills, expand specialist vocabulary and practice critical thinking.
The group meets on Wednesday evening from 5:30 – 7pm.
